You've asked for it, we delivered. Perk 1.2 is about making your discount widget look like it belongs in your store. Here is what's new, and more importantly, why.

34 new widget designs

Most discount tools give you one or two looks for the coupon box on your product page. The result is that every store ends up with the same box, in colours that don't quite fit, and shoppers learn to scroll past it. The widget is often the first thing a shopper sees about your offer, so it needs to look like part of your store, not an add-on.

Perk 1.2 adds 34 new designs, from clean and minimal to bold and playful. There are countdown boxes for sales that end, price tags and hang tags, stickers, and understated editorial looks. Pick one, change what you like, and your offer looks designed rather than dropped in.

Designs made for your kind of store

A pet store and a jewellery store should not have the same widget, and a list of thirty templates is a lot to scroll through to find the one that suits you. The design picker now opens on your kind of store, worked out from what you sell, and shows the designs made for it first. There are ten store types, including fashion, beauty, home, food, sports, tech, pets, kids, jewellery and books, with new packs for pet stores (Paw prints, Dog tag, Treat jar, Vet clinic and Walkies) and fashion stores (Atelier, Price tag, Streetwear, Blush and Sale rail). Designs that suit any store follow, so nothing is hidden.

See exactly what you'll get

Template pickers usually show a generic thumbnail, so you choose a design, apply it, and only then find out how it looks with your offer. In Perk 1.2 every design in the picker is shown with your own campaign applied, in your theme's colours and font. What you see on the card is what your shoppers get when you choose it.

A widget that matches your theme

Colours that almost match are worse than colours that clearly don't. The new Match my theme design takes its accent colour and corners from your theme's own buttons, and lets the surrounding section decide the text colour, so the same widget reads well on a light section and on a dark one. It looks like your store because it is built from your store.

More ways to make it yours

The new designs are built on new controls you can use yourself. The widget can lead with the offer, putting the discount, the amount saved or the new price first, with a supporting line underneath, because the number is what shoppers read first. There are new shapes (stacked, split, round badge, inline and hang tag), border and shadow choices, background patterns, a slight tilt, and countdown boxes. Everything you had before still works, and a design that uses none of the new settings looks exactly as it did.

Smaller things that matter

You can now add the widget to a page twice to show two kinds of discount, and both will appear. The widget now shows in the theme editor, so you can see it while you style your page. And if you build two campaigns at once, or a teammate does, each keeps its own progress instead of overwriting the other's.
